I love reading a book in one sitting; its impact is magnified because you experience it all in one go, without being interrupted by the outside world (well, except for my ever-attention-demanding cat). Grief is the Thing with Feathers – Max Porter

Grief is the Thing with Feathers had been on my to-read list for a shamefully long time until about a week ago, when I sat down one afternoon and read it from cover to cover in complete awe. It made me cry, it made me smile. I didn’t want it to end. It is a perfectly formed combination of viewpoints, narratives, fables, conversations.
